Film Magazine Posters

The front cover of Empire magazine resembles that of a tabloid, compared with a cover from Sight and Sound, the brash and strong words used show the success that the magazine already has. On first views the title of the magazine takes up the first top strip of the cover, the size of the title in red, establishes the magazine as a worldwide, well known magazine which represents the newest popular films. Under the title there is a review of the magazine "magazine of the year!" or "Uk's No1 magazine". These pieces of information show that the magazine has an established audience because it has been voted as magazine of the year. The titles of the main features take up a lot of the front cover and promote the film by the use of words such as "Hot issue" or "hot! happening! homegrown!".

Empire has influenced us to promote our film because the magazine targets the same audience that we hope to see our film. It also focuses more on the stars and actors within the film rather than the technical aspects and interviews with Directors and producers. As our film is a horror we have decided to use stills of the film within the title of the feature, stills of the actors from certain scenes of the film and a still of the twins which are the common feature in our promotional package. By doing this it allows the audience to recognise what film it is.
